Faith for Life 2018 concluded recently with an Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 20th March held in Holy Cross Diocesan Centre, Clonliffe. We began our journey last October and eighteen people participated from parishes all over the diocese: Willington, Cabra, Portamarnock, Sandyford, Rivermount, Donnybrook, Greystones, Sruleen, Crumlin, Donore Avenue, Dundrum, Terenure, Laurel Lodge, Santry, and Rathfarnham.
Participants shared their experience of the course and the most obvious learning was a deepening of their faith and a renewed awareness of their Christian call to make a difference in every aspect of their lives. They have found new ways of expressing their faith and making it more relevant to their lives. The participants were presented with their certificates by Very Rev Kieran Mc Dermott, Episcopal Vicar for Evangelisation and Ecumenism in the Archdiocese of Dublin.
The Course takes place in partnership with Liverpool Archdiocese. There are seven team members in Dublin; Rosemary Lavelle, (Pastoral Coordinator, Office for Evangelisation and Ecumenism) Peter Siney, (Parish Pastoral Worker, Balbriggan) Fr John Bracken, (Dundrum Parish), Eilis O’Reilly and Rachel Brady (Balbriggan Parish) Louise Donnelly (Brackenstown Parish and Colin Thomson (Parish of the Travelling People)
We have enjoyed growing together in faith with this year’s participants. We look forward to starting again with a new group in October!
