ANCHOR – WYD Preparation

To prepare for WYD we request all pilgrims to attend our WYD preparation programme. It will be led by our WYD animation team and some of our Foundational Leadership Team.

ANCHOR was devised a method of preparing young people for pilgrimage, giving them an opportunity to reflect on some core Anchor parts of faith. It will cover questions such as Who is Jesus? Being a Follower of Jesus today? What is a pilgrimage? and a mini pilgrimage during the programme. DOCAT - being Christian in the world - using the social teaching of the Church to reflect on putting faith into action. Celebrating our faith - reflecting on the Gospels and celebrating Eucharist.

It will take place on the 1st December in St. Paul's Church starting @9:00 am with coffee and finish @6:00pm. Please bring a lunch, suitable clothes to walk outside (mini-pilgrimage) and bring an open mind and big heart!

Optional - on the evening before 30 November - Friday evening - you are also invited to gather @St Paul's and participate on a soup run with other volunteers young adults. Please allow about four hours for this. Our FLP Team will lead this evening.

(In Panama we will all take part in some social project in the project and ANCHOR will help you prepare for this)
